Before security systems were invented, plants were used as biological security systems. They protected homes from outsiders who want to steal and destroy them.
In the video below, you will see some examples of natural defense solutions:
Strategically planting spiky, dense, and thorny dense bushes deter outsiders – and keeps your space looking beautiful and well-kept. Many shrubs used to beautify the landscape have spiny foliage and vicious thorns. Carefully place these plants around your home, in strategic positions that will defend you but not harm your friends and family who come in or out of your space. How can plants be a part of your defense?
Before you plant defensive plants, ensure that the plant you choose can grow well in your landscape. Calculate how big the plant will grow, and whether the soil in your area is appropriate for the plant to thrive.
Look for escape routes around the plants. In the event of an emergency, you need a route to escape through. This point is especially important if you choose to plant a defensive plant near a window.
